Man tries to look female and adds amateur make-up for that purpose.
Created on very thin black cardboard, 4"x4". Try to enjoy!
It's not the prettiest of .... let me call it 'dragqueens', but it can suit.
And right indeed, the negative spacing in these creations is never easy! Thanks!!
This looks very theatrical. I did not see many movies about drag-queens but she should be right before her first performance ever and she is tense.
What are those markers that can paint on black? Is it like paint markers?
Your work is wonderful example of geshtalt theory in art. I think after looking at it for some time you can see ambiguous picture there and you can see left frontal and side of the face after some time.
Dear Sunnylady, that is SO amazing. Indeed, when yoiu like at it with half an eye (manner of speaking), you actually see another face with the light coming from the right this time.
WAW, I did not spot that up front! My goodness, this creation means so much more to me now!!
Concerning the markers, what I used were 'bullet tip' markers (paint markers), those give great control and colouring. See the product here:

Working with a marker feels a bit like working with a pencil. The big difference lies in the fact that pencils are dry, the markers are wet, so less room for errors there. The smaller the tip, the more control you have and if you work with a professional product, the finishing will always be GREAT. The markers do require that mostly, you have to colour it in twice for best results.
Till next one!!
Indeed Voy, the duality of the perspectives really works fantastic with this painting!
It is stunning ,is it not Felix? I wasn't aware at all at first!
What I specially like is that the second figure is far more feminine like!

Nice use of negative space with the eyelashes!
